BUT. I had a blast in France! \o/

I'm having trouble finding time to get in front of the computer (it's 02:33 over here at the moment - INSOMNIA!), so I'm just going to do a quick as hell update to remind myself what I have to do, and what I have been running behind on for a looong time here at LJ:

Post the Pride pictures.
I've selected about 300 of them (to post in intervals, lol) that are going to be up in a week or so. :'3

Post the pics from the Poland - Auschwitz/Birkenau trip.
I still need to go through those. Something keeps stopping me, though. I can barely open up the folder with the photos without feeling my heart clench in my chest.

... Right. 
Also, the reason why it will take me at least one week to post anything, is because I'm going to France on Saturday (!)

Though I have no idea where the hell I'm going. This is some kind of spontaneous thingy I'm doing with my friends, but from what I've been told, we're not going somewhere fancy. Like Paris. Or Cannes. No, we're going to be spending a few days in the middle of nowhere (though I don't get why you have to be in the middle of French nowhere to do whatever it is that we're gonna do, when there's perfectly fine Noweheres here in Sweden... if that made ANY sense), buuuuut, nevertheless, I'm excited. Because, hey, it's fucking France, right? And I'd take the middle of French nowehere over the middle of Swedish nowhere any time. (Y)

Oi, mates. I'm in an especially good mood this evening, excited to say the least, so please excuse rushed typing and possible mistakes in terms of sentence structure. (Y)

So. I'm back from a weeked of Pride, in the name of love (<- a play on words from the title of the U2 song, mwaha, because this Friday U2 had their first concert to promote their new album here in Sweden - pretty neat, right? 8D)
Anywho, as I was saying, this week have been Pride week in Stockholm, and me, my dear mother and a couple of friends drove all the way from Nyköping to the country capital (it's really not that far, about one and a half hour by car, one by train) to see the action.
My sister, being a member of RFSL (the swedish equivalent to PFLAG, basically) got to be in the Pride parade, which started at one o'clock  and finished two or three hours later, after over a hundred equipages with carriages, rainbow flags, loud, loud music and queers as far as the eye could reach.
It was overall absolutely awesome.

The turnout was not as big as last year's though, because last year Sweden hosted EuroPride, but this time it was fairly packed too. An estimated 50.000 or something like that. Probably doesn't sound all too much for you guys in the states, lol, but for a country of 9 million inhabitants, it's pretty huge. Though I think last year's figures were around a hundred thousand or close to that.

Anyways, more updates to come in a few hours - or tomorrow, it's close to midnight over here, and I'm tired as hell and my feet are hurting - when there will be pictures from the parade. :3
I took a lot of pictures, roughly 600, but I'l probably not post all of them, lol. Wouldn't want to spam ya'll, aight?

Alrighty. First of all, I know I suck at updating my journal (Y). It's just that at the time, I'm experiencing more crap IRL than I originally thought (well isn't that's a neat formulation?), which leads to unintended neglection of my fic writing.

- For those of you awaiting another chapter of Black Holes and Revelations, all I can say at the moment is that unfortunately you will have to wait some more, but that I'm not by any means planning on giving up the story.
I have the whole plot set out for it, don't worry, but I just need to find the energy to get from one point to another. I'm lacking inspiration-wise at the moment.

- I'm currently writing a story in swedish, not B/J, but it's still m/m. I think I need to take a very brief pause from writing in english (veeery brief, because I can't stand not writing B/J for too long of a while, lol), and concentrate on something else. Just so I can get inspired to start writing fanfics again. I'm kind of in a slump right now, a semi-permanent writers block that just won't fucking go away. *glares at stupid writers block*

- So, I'll be an observer from now on, at least for a while. I'll devote myself to leaving commenty love instead! Yay 8D
